This widget provides a Bible verse of the day to uplift and encourage you. It offers customizable versions, background and text colors, variable text size, and transparency. You can also tap on the widget to share the verse on Facebook, Twitter, text, email, etc., or to read the chapter the verse comes from. The verses are pulled from BibleGateway.com. I enjoy waking up to a new verse on my screen each morning, and hope you will find it useful in your walk with Christ.

I like this widget. You can set font color and the opacity for the background of the text. You can also pick from 9 English translations. The verses come come from BibleGateway. If the verse doesn't refresh, simply touch the widget once and then tap Save Preferences. If you use a large font, the text might run past the frame of the widget. But you can you touch and hold the widget a couple of seconds, release and 2 horizontal lines will appear, drag horizontal lines to change size of the widget.

After all these years of use, still the best BVWidget with just the right amount of options that I care about such as Bible versions, sizes, transparency leveling, and color customization. No new updates give or take a few "days".. I mean years. 😂 and 0 email responses 🤔 Regardless of the nonexistent updates and the "warning" that it's made for "older" devices, and the occasional time the verse doesn't refresh the next day, still works on Samsung and Pixel devices.

I love that it's so customizable and that it changes every day, but can you please make it so I can resize smaller than 2x2 or whatever the smallest option is right now? Maybe smaller square or just one row? I'm finding that usually I can read the small text I have set and there's too much extra space it takes up. Otherwise, it's a core widget I enjoy on my home screen to bring me some peace each day!
