Try not to stumble into the lair of the Wumpus, or fall into a bottomless pits of slime.
Why are you even hunting the dreaded Wumpus? The elders say he has stalked your village in the past, but it has not been in your life time. Is it a right of passage or do they want rid of you, like all those who have been sent on this mission in the past?
You think too much and maybe they feel your are a challenge to their power and their ways? Come back victorious and maybe you can change things for your people for the better. No more blindly following in line when you know there you can improve everyone's lives.

This is a near perfect re-creation of Hunt the Wumpus from the old TI99/4A home computer. I used to love playing Wumpus on the TI. So, I'm glad to see that a faithful clone of Wumpus is available for Android. This version definitely brings back the look and feel of the TI version. As such it's -- in my opinion -- the best version of Hunt the Wumpus that you'll find for your Android device. Overall, this version runs well and it effectively brings back that nostalgic feeling of playing Wumpus on the TI. My only gripe? The opening animation of the Wumpus' teeth is missing the Wumpus' creepy eyes. But, I'm just being picky. Overall, if you want the best Wumpus game you can get for Android then this is the one to get, hands down.

Fabulous remake of the classic w/ a few minor glitches. I would still rate 5 stars in spite of the bat glitch. I can even live with the periodic miscrediting of stats that adds a slime pit win on occasion after encountering the Wumpus. My primary bug gripe and reason for less than 5 stars is that this version of the game is not always winnable. It should not be that difficult to correct the code to prevent the Wumpus from being blocked from access behind slime pits. Where are the patches!?

Ha ! This is really back to the great old times of the eighties with this accurate rendering of a TI-99 classic ❤️ Especially love the sound effects are so identical too! (controlling the moves are a bit tricky though, especially near the border of the screen)
