About this app

Euro-Japan dictionary is a Japanese dictionary which supports not only 7 major European languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Portuguese, but also 2 search modes: online or offline search. The latter is useful when the internet is not available or its connection is not free. Supported input methods are Kanji, Kana and Romaji in Japanese. By purchasing “Euro-Japan Gold” you can freely choose among 7 translation languages (i.e. you can translate Japanese to English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian or Portuguese and vice-versa at will), otherwise you are limited to a local language recorded on your mobile. The default translation in North America, UK and Japan are English, French in France, German in Germany, Italian in Italy, Russian in Russia, Spanish in Spain and South America etc. If this language choice doesn't fit for a free version user, you are advised to modify the display language by launching “Settings” from home screen. You may also grasp the power of this application via a web version at docoja.com because it handles the same database by the same algorithm in online mode.

As a Japanese language student I found this Android Japanese English dictionary to be a very useful app. It is very simple and it can be used to translate Japanese to English and vice versa. So it can be useful to Japanese people who want to know English words. At that time GUI also get changed to Japanese. It is a very impressive feature. Other than that all the offline search, cross reference, choose the fastest server for download the offline data are some powerful features I saw in this app. There are even medical, scientific and technical words which helps a lot for beginners as well as professionals.

My parents usually travel to many countries for their business stuff. They accompany me with them most of the time. I understood that travel can offer adventure, escape and relaxation for even the most tightly wound workaholic, but a language barrier can add stress back into the equation. A good electronic dictionary can help remove that barrier. My favourite language translator Euro-Japan dictionary has become a good travelling companion that makes my journeys more enjoyable and safe when I'm at Japan. It runs smoothly on my Galaxy S advance and also it offers speedy translations of Japanese to English, German and French. It works well when the internet connection is available. It gives me a look at the other side by putting the most useful foreign words at my fingertips. So I recommend this app for travellers in Japan. Five stars!!!

This app is great. It's rare when it doesn't have a word or Kanji that I'm looking for. It even has example sentences. A must own for anyone studying Japanese. Connection to Google maps is sometimes really helpful!

What's new

This is a minor update allowing accessing to a second language for a free version user. It should be English if the local language is French, German, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese or Italian, otherwise English and French. You may also need to download a new version of the database by initializing it, if it is about an upgrade.
