About this app

BOS:311 enables Boston's residents to improve their neighborhoods by reporting non-emergency issues in their communities, like potholes and graffiti.

Reports are automatically fed into the City of Boston’s work order system to track and assign them to City staff. Through the app, you can follow the status of your request, as well as the statuses of other reports in the City. There’s even a map to get an easy overview of active reports in Boston.

Used to be one of the most noble apps I've ever seen created. The speed and ease of creating reports made it powerful, because if you can't send off a report in less than 5 seconds you won't. However since the redesign, which isn't inherently bad, it's just too slow to use anymore. Please continue with performance improvements for startup (currently takes me to a web link which is super slow) and a new report takes too long to load too, and this was testing on WiFi...

App needs to have a search button to find reports. Similar to the web browser. - Need to search for case numbers, topics, streets, etc. As of now you can only see current reports using the app. Cannot look up submitted reports using case number etc.

The app is fine, but the service is not. No enforcement of illegal parking, with or without reports in East Boston. This app started off as a supplemental tool to draw attention of Boston civil servicers to specifics they could have missed. Now the city expects citizens to use the app do its job for them. "Pandemic" is over; perhaps we could have the prepaid services back now? Despicable.
