Dictan - Dictionary Viewer

What a pain in the butt to try to get this - the only dictionary app able to integrate with FB reader - to integrate with FB reader. Just a series of misadventures and headscratches involving - trying to connect it, - realizing there's no actual dictionary associated with it, - trying to navigate the unintuitive app menus to figure out why there's no dictionary - having to figure out why and how to add dictionary files because there's no setup or tutorial - trying to navigate the website to find dictionary files, and downloading multiple "corrupted" files from the Softex website before finding one that, right now, appears to work. And I hope it does, because while I enjoy FB Reader, there are other eReaders and dictionary apps that are much, much easier to navigate for basic eReader word lookups than this headache.

It used to work out of the box but now have to download dictionary file from their website, ignore what the app says and create a new folder next to your documents and downloads folders, call the folder Dictan, and put the downloaded file there. Then it works. Oxford american file is optimal.

Awful to install. The only dictionaries available are Russian. Documentation is wrong. On my last phone it took several hours to get it working. New phone and I had to link the two to get files over. It's fine when it's finally installed. Just a mess.
