Thread pitch gauge is a great reference for all those with an engineering bent of mind. It's easy to use, and the automatic screen calibration definitely helps. The app is updated regularly, which is something you don't see often with apps of this type. Overall, definitely a handy app you want to have around in your phone or app library.

Didn't this app used to also have a camera function where you can line a thread up to the gauges? (Updated 2/17/2024: added a star because the developer actually responded. :) )

This app does not support a camera because many errors occur in camera measurements.

Downloaded to quickly identify a small component with very fine threading. Unfortunately the app did not seem to contain this size in the visual profiles, but I was able to use the on screen ruler to more accurately measure the thread spacing. Harbor Freight cheapo digital calipers confirm ruler is plenty close enough without any calibration on Moto E4, just downloaded and opened. Removed for space, but will remember this app for future projects.
