Why did Emily blunt sign up for this, her character brought nothing to the story, all she did was hinder the whole operation from start to finish. Probably would have been a slightly better movie without her character. Still a great movie, Del Toro was excellent and I read he asked director to drop 90% of his dialogue in order to make the character darker, and it worked.

Slooooowwww... I was really looking forward to this film after reading positive feedback and seeing the critic's reviews. It's £3.49 and two hours of my life I won't get back. slow to start, slow to finish and slow in the middle. Was told that the end was better but I must have missed that and for me the best bit was the credits.

Lacking in any real substance. Over-acted. Un-realistic and trying to be 'arty'. Only saving grace is Roger deakins beautiful cinematography and Johansons powerful score.
