About this movie

In August 2008, amid the war between Russia and Georgia in South Ossetia American reporter Thomas Anders (Rupert Friend, The Young Victoria) and his cameraman (Richard Coyle, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time) try to document the escalating conflict. But when Thomas falls for a young Georgian girl (Emmanuelle Chriqui, Entourage) he realises that sometimes you can't just stand by and do nothing. Directed by Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger, Die Hard 2) and featuring an all-star cast including Andy Garcia (Oceans Thirteen, The Godfather Part III ) and Val Kilmer (Heat ), 5 DAYS OF WAR is the brutal and bloody truth behind the front-line conflict of South Ossetia. 2011 Iron Lion Film Production Inc. Tells an incredible story of the impact of war on people and the courage and bravery of 3 journalists trying to get the truth out to the world. A touching and powerful war film. This gets your heart racing with the action, but also gets your mind thinking about the impact of war. All the casualties and characters feel human and suffer in human ways. I HIGHLY recommend watching it!

War movies have taken a turn over the past few years from the typical Arnie/Stallone days this was moving to say the least well acted throughout especially from main actor whom also stared in the excellent Homeland

Amazing to say the least, tells the story through the eyes of the people caught up in the conflict and the bravery of both military and civilian alike.
