About this movie

The next generation of Griswolds is at it again – and on the road for another ill-fated adventure. Following in his father's footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Christina Applegate), and their two sons with a cross-country trip back to America's "favorite family fun park," Walley World.

This movie starts off firing on all cylinders, but 30 minutes in it runs out of gas. It is mainly because the characters in the film never take shape. Ed Helms and Christina Applegate fail to bring the laughs and seem to be going through the motions in hopes of getting a paycheck. This leaves all the raunchy low brow scenarios to fall flat for the final hour. The sad thing is in the end you feel very unsatisfied because deep down you wanted it to be as satisfying as the original. Even appearances by Charlie Day and Kaitlin Olsen (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Chevy Chase (the original "Vacation") was not enough to bring any real comical release to this doomed film. There was potential here to make a classic comedy, but instead there was too much effort to recreate the magic of the original that it came up empty handed

Id much rather sit in my couch watching a blank screen for an hour than watch this ,horrible acting and a horrible story , all the characters made me want to throw stuff at the tv from how boring , unoriginal and cheesy they were. Dont watch it if you apreciate actual comedy , this is garbage.

I wish there was a way to give "0" stars. This movie was so horrible, I "almost" didnt watch all of it. I wouldnt recommend this movie be viewed for free. It was that bad. I blame Christina Applegate - she just wasnt pretty enough to create enough tension, and you really, really needed a "normal" in this movie. Totally hated this movie and it should not be rented/owned under any circumstance.
