So, before you buy or rent this be aware that there is some atrocious blackface 😱, a mamie character, and some dialog that's very of its time (no wonder I've never seen this on TV during the holidays). The story itself is probably a little weird for modern audiences considering one guy steals the heart of another guy's fiance and the guy who loses his fiance responses with shrug. Anyhow there are some beautiful and very impressive song/dance numbers if you can look past what I mentioned above.

The sound was so crackled, tinny, and rough. Sounded like it was ruining my tv's speakers. Won't be buying or renting from Google. Not worth wasting another dollar.

If you have seen the more popular White Christmas and liked it you will love this movie. It came out a decade before but is better in every way. The story is close to white Christmas but way more entertaining.
