About this movie

“Jon Stewart...would probably approve of ‘Stink!’” The New York Times “Stink! carries with it the unassailable whiff of common sense.” Variety “That yucky body spray could actually kill somebody.” The Hollywood Reporter The award-winning documentary “Stink!” opens with a foul smell, a pair of kids pajamas, and a single father trying to find out what could cause such a foul odor. Refusing to give up on getting a straight answer, director Jon Whelan stumbles on a disturbing truth hiding in plain view, which is that many products on our store shelves are not safe -- by design. Entertaining, enlightening, witty, and at times almost absurd, “Stink!” takes you on a madcap journey from the retailer to the laboratory, through corporate boardrooms, down back alleys, and into the halls of Congress. Follow Whelan as he clashes with political and corporate operatives all trying to protect the darkest secrets of the chemical industry. You won’t like what you smell. “How stinky PJs launched a crusade against the chemical industry.” Fortune “New documentary on dangerous chemical ingredients found in everyday products” Page Six “A Michael Moore-like investigation...what (Whelan) uncovers is more than a bad smell” Boston Globe

I understand that his personal story brought up this Doc. We need statistics to produce a good Doc. But, absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. go out and continue.

It's sickening to me that I've bought and used these products on my children and thought they were "safe". I definitely am making some major changes. I myself have been making choices for years to help my kids be healthy but will definitely step up my due diligence and not take things for granted that they are safe.

Clear, easy to understand & focused on common sense. You'd have to be an idiot to not support this film.
