If you have seen any exorcism film from the last 10 years then you have seen all there is to see here. Really this film adds absolutely nothing new to the old formula; a family in distress, possession, reading from a bible in Latin, things flying about, shaking and spinning around... You get the drift. The only thing that is different here is the bible bashing the film makers try to clobber you over the head with repeatedly. Was this film financed by the Christian church? The film ends with a quote saying that the devil is real and anyone who doesn't turn to Christianity is siding with the devil and we will all burn... yeah thanks for that.

Love this movie. Yeah its been done 100 times before but it has alot of scares despite a few minor cheesy moments. Lets be honest, unless these things actually happen to us we are always in the mind set of 'its only a movie'. The fact its based on true occurrences also adds to the scares. Don't over analyze it.

Reminiscent of some of the best horror classics, this movie will, for the most part, stir you until your blood curdles - who cares about cliches when it's done this well. However...I dropped a star (& considered dropping 2) because, like so many lesser horrors, the last 20 minutes was too O.T.T. with high octane horror-action; it just didn't need to affirm it's genre in this way. Create the right atmosphere for this movie (lights off, no interruptions and preferably stereo sound) & you won't be disappointed.
