About this movie

From director Zack Snyder comes “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” starring Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters’ first big-screen pairing. Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

I went in with low expectations, and was surprised that it didn't suck. I suggest all Superman/Batman fans do the same. Affleck did well as an older, slightly jaded Batman, and Cavill continues to do what many could not: fill that massive suit with class. Many reviewers are going to rip this movie to shreds and it's understandable: the storyline plays second fiddle to stunts & not-so-subtle Justice League cross-promo's in the latter half of the film. In my opinion, there are enough positives to make this film worth a movie ticket (on cheap Tuesday). It was interesting to see their personal and 'vigilante' lives compared and contrasted; then watch on as they appear to be set on a collision course. The casting of wonder woman easily makes up for the OTT Lex Luthor. On first viewing, there are too many dream sequences & flash backs, but I suspect that these diversions and "plot holes" are going to make some sense as we get further into the DC universe. In summary, it would have been better if they had concentrated their efforts on the Batman vs Superman conundrum, instead of trying to promo upcoming movies.

This has nice scenes but without a cogent story line this is not really worth repeat viewings and definitely not worth buying. Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck do a good job with what they have been given, but the worst part of the movie has to be Jesse Eisenberg's performance as Lex Luthor. Every time I think about it I decide to skip over this movie. The directors cut has got my curiosity, but not at full price. Rent this only if you can overlook grave plot holes and even worse character development.

I see all the negative reviews with people complaining about zero plot. From my point of view the plot was intricately set. It just took a slower pace to unravel. If you're expecting a marvel type superhero movie with silly banter and comical scenes then i suggest u wait for Civil War. Zach may have written Luthor a little differently then most wanted but i must commend the way he subtly Incorporated iconic dark knight return moments into the climatic scene. Also, Wonder Woman is badassery redifined.
