About this movie

A Historic Gathering of Jesus Music Pioneers. Join us on a musical journey back in time to discover the roots of Contemporary Christian Music. The late '60's and early '70's were a time of tremendous upheaval in American culture as the hippie generation abandoned the values of their parents, turned to drugs, away from materialism, and went on search for love and peace. It was out of this tumultuous era that young, new musical voices began to surface, converted musicians, who began singing about their new faith. Like musical prophets these musical artists became pied pipers to a growing youth movement, who's faith march would sweep American culture and eventually the world. It became know as the "Jesus Movement". In an historic gathering, many of these music pioneers reunited for the first time at a mountain retreat in Southern California. First Love Part One is filled with stunning musical performances from: Love Song, Randy Stonehill, John Fischer, Jamie Owens, Collins and the 2nd Chapter of Acts. And get a rare look at the heart and motive of each artist as they reveal the drama of their own personal transformations.
