So great to see another collaboration between Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. The fantastic thing about this comedy is that not only did they spend a number of years on it, but it is also self-produced meaning the humour is authentic compared to most comedy films in Hollywood. All of the performances are excellent and it is clear they put an extensive amount of effort in to making this film what they wanted it to be. Satire at it's finest.

It definitely shows potential at times of what it could be but ultimately it doesn't deliver the goods at any level for me. I could see the influence of other similarly styled comedies which unfortunately makes the movie feel unoriginal despite the fact it differs from other attempts on the genre. I found myself throughout the movie want it to like it but never quite getting there.

For me this film doesn't live up to the rib tickling hilarity many reviewers state. It was funny in parts but I found a lot of it a bit too childish. It isn't amazing but it's worth a viewing if you like these spoof documentary style films.
