The characters were forced. It felt like they were just not getting the parts. Only k moments were when the costume wasn't on like when he chatted with his nephew. And -I know this is nitpicking- but a villain initiating a legitimate attack on the earth should have been a bit larger. It appears huge in space then diminished significantly on the planet PLEASE make a "do over"!

It's an introduction to Green Lantern really. Best viewed in Extended Cut version where you see him as a child and not just in flashbacks. Ryan Reynolds did good, but it was Parallax's "cloud" that I can't accept and why Sinestro wore the Yellow Ring without further explanation. It should've been done in the last part of the sequel. I hope GL gets to have follow up movie. Don't reboot. I forgive the first one, do it better in the second one.

It wasn't awful, I'll give it that. But ummm. The sheer number of common sense lapses are astounding. I initially watched a long time ago (when everything was new and fresh and shiny and O.M.G. superheroes and superpowers) and I couldn't enjoy the movie even then because there were just so many things that common sense would have solved. So, fricken' many.
