About this movie

From the chronicles of the DC Universe comes the sweeping saga of rebirth, revenge and redemption. Now, for the first time, witness the legend of The Dark Knight Returns, presented as an over two-hour unabridged and seamless animated feature. The days of the Batman and other noble super heroes are but faded memories; violence and despair are now the harbingers of our time. With the roving gangs and return of villains such as Harvey "Two-Face" Dent and the Joker, an aged and weathered Bruce Wayne dons the mask and cape once more. With the brave, young Carrie Kelley at his side as Robin, the Dark Knight faces off against insurmountable odds, unforgettable battles and even the Man of Steel as he desperately fights to reclaim Gotham City. With a stellar voice cast headed by Peter Weller (RoboCop), Ariel Winter (Modern Family) and David Selby (Dark Shadows), experience the complete epic journey of the Dark Knight as never before!

NO. I rented this because it had a high rating. MISTAKE. This was so lame. Who rated this so high, and how/why?!?! It's so flawed, I can't even put it into words, especially if you read the comics, and know the folklore. It got dumber and dumber towards the end. I could barely force myself to even finish watching it. I only gave it one star because "0 stars" wasn't an option. What a waste of time and money. So irritated...

Hard to suspend your disbelief when you're suppose to think that this is a 50+ year old guy who's still doing these things. With the amount of damage he's done to his body throughout the years how can he still perform like he's superhuman? Hell even top athletes wear down at the end of their careers but Batman is still doing these crazy stunts at this supposed age???

This movie nails Batman in the tail end of his career. Seeing Year One and finally this movie, I've grown to appreciate Frank Miller's interpretations, even if he portrays most women in an....odd light. However, there's one thing this movie (and source material) falters at: its portrayal of Superman. Supes would never sell out the League and become a government stooge. But this movie is simply for Batman fans. So Superman people, if you feel like you're going to hate this movie, well you probably will.
