About this movie
A staunch devotee of Lord Hanuman, Udhayanidhi Stalin (Kathirvelan) is totally against marriage and romance. But one glimpse of the lovely Nayantara (Pavithra) and Udhayanidhi falls deeply in love. Nayantara, however, has a soft corner for Sunder Ramu, a long-time friend. Though Sunder Ramu has been pursuing Nayantara for over a year now, he is not in love with her. He just plans to have a good time and then move on. Udhayanidhi overhears Sunder Ramu bragging about his so-called conquest to a friend in a restaurant. Udhayanidhi tries to warn Nayantara, but she does not believe him and tells him to stay out of her life. Whether Udhayanidhi is able to save Nayantara or not is the rest of the movie.

This movie has a slow start, but after about 30-40 minutes it starts to pickup and get funny once Santhanam's character gets involved. His zingers and advice is hilarious. This is a good family friendly movie and a nice break from other Tamil films that seem to churn out endless violence. It also has decent music to go with it and is a good entertainer. The genre is rom-com, but there is also an underlying message about family values that comes out as the story progresses and is part of the ending. Udhayanidi's roll is played well as he deals with his confusion over love. Nayanthara is OK, but not quite stand out. I would have liked to see her character developed a bit more. Not a blockbuster, but it is a good watch for a nice story with a bit of humor.
