Sintel

It has a sad ending, it actually made me cry... But their friendship was broken when Sintel killed her only friend ,Scales (the dragon). When she knew that it was Scales her heart broke that moment she recognized him, but there was nothing she can do to save his life. But then when Scales still has time , he told his son to go with her because she was a good person...

I have watched this movie so many times over the years and I still love and adore it. (Spoilers ahead) The bond between her and scales is absolutely perfect and even though the movie is short and has to show their growth in a short amount of time it is done in an absolutely beautiful way. She saved scales and then scales saved her from loneliness. You can tell that she loved him/her so much just by the fact that time literally stops when she looses them. In my opinion this proves how close they had grown. And the moment you realize that the grown up dragon is scales it's heartbreaking, because that's when not only us viewers realize how long it's been but Sintel does too and everything starts to catch up with her and she realizes that it's been years, and she has just killed her best friend and used half of her life searching for them. I like to think that the cave crashing down is a reference to how she's feeling at the time, but when scales baby follows her that's the creaters way of promising a happy end and showing us that she won't be alone

Acting and dialogue was good. Plot was tropey and unoriginal. The payoff was disappointing and I was left hating the protagonist. Plot goes as follows. Spoiler warning ahead ⚠️ Girl finds injured baby dragon and takes care of it. Baby dragon is taken back by its mother and flown far away. Instead of allowing the dragon to be raised by its own mother, the girl searches for baby dragon and kills dragon's mother. Then the cave collapses and she leaves both dragons to die in the collapsed cave.
