A bit of a mixed bag with this one: the character dialogue is good, even excellent in places, appalling in others. Likewise with the acting. The special effects are not over powering, than goodness, but also don't add much to the story. Harrison Ford uses his typical mono-expression to look all serious, yet still seems to have some sort of Marie-Sue relationship with the protagonist for a reason I can't fathom. Anyway: not a bad movie, but not a great one.

Look, sorry to disappoint you all, but I really don't like this movie. The thing is that I love scifi, but I can't be satisfied with this movie. Sure it's got some cool CGI in it, but there's a great lack of empathy and shallowness of the story and acting. Plus, it's got all those annoying clichés that we've seen countless times in other movies. Overall, it's just an all-around boring movie. I can't say it's anywhere near the worst I've seen, not even close. It's just dull and uneventful. 😔
