About this movie

This groundbreaking cinematic event stars Tom Cruise as Jack Harper, the lone security repairman stationed on a desolate, nearly-ruined future Earth. When he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft, her arrival triggers a nonstop chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows, and leaves humanity's fate in his hands. Academy Award-winner Morgan Freeman joins Cruise in this "visually stunning" (Pete Hammond, Movieline), explosive story from the director of TRON: Legacy and the producer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

One of the worst movies to come out recently. The general idea is good, but sweet FA actually happens in the 124 minutes of bore that is Oblivion

Again, Tom Cruise provides enough acting oomph to pull you through the occasional lulls in this sci-fi mystery. Set design and cinematography are outstanding and the electronic score really works well. It's an enjoyable piece of cinema.

Tom Cruise performance is below average, the CGI is at a poor quality and used way too often. There is some but few beautifully filmed moments. All up it is two hours of boring watching and it gets thumbs down.
