The second best installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman remake - not hard to reach when there are only three! The plot was slipping slightly and it constantly felt like you were reaching the end, only to be treated to plot-twist after plot-twist after plot-twist. Unfortunately, this seemed to make it drag on. That being said, it was thrilling, interesting and kept you on the edge of your seat. The Joker was a fantastic villain and his portrayal was as it should be! I enjoyed the movie overall!

No five stars because as with all these stupid Hollywood 'hit the target while missing the point' Batman movies ... they've forgotten Gotham is an essential character, Chicago is too clean and immature. Gotham = Gothic at least the narrows and bridges. Some shiny towers yes, but in their 1930s awesome sense, not gobshite 90s corporate America. Get some Architecture into the plot. Relationship between characters is OK. Could have done so much more with Joker and avoided that completely inept ending!

Batman is an amazing movie not only because of the stunning cast or its story but the one and only Heath ledger aka the Joker lending his acting skills to great effect, if villans had a hero. This old tale of good V's evil where for the first time ever I actually wanted evil to win and in a way it did. I have to mention a big shout for the musical score which keeps you tense throughout this rollercoaster of a thrill ride in the words of the Joker ...And here we go.
