About this movie

Clark Gregg leads an all-star cast in this sharp comedy as Howard Holloway, a down-on-his luck agent for child actors and truly one the last good guys left in Hollywood. After discovering a 13-year-old acting prodigy (newcomer Saxon Sharbino), he is poised to close the deal of a lifetime which would catapult his tween client and, at long last, himself, into the big time. With the support of his gorgeous new neighbor (Amanda Peet), he must wrangle the actress' volatile, overprotective father (Paul Sparks), dodge a scheming producer (Felicity Huffman), and outwit his uber-slick nemesis (Sam Rockwell). As he arrives on the brink of the Hollywood dream that's eluded him for a lifetime, he begins to sense that his innocent young starlet may not be quite what she seems. Also featuring Allison Janney, William H. Macy, and Molly Shannon.

I am still reeling from watching this film. Incredibly well-written, tight dialogue. Beautifully acted and directed. Funny, witty, and sharp as razors, Trust Me is a movie that asks all the characters, what are you willing to give up to become what you want? It isn't your usual Hollywood fare. It does not spoon feed you the conclusion you so desperately want. But it does what it sets out to do. This movie has heart, and really sharp teeth. You won't forget it any time soon.

Clark Gregg does an amazing job telling the story of a nice guy in Hollywood, getting the raw in of the deal. Constantly playing hardball with competing Agents; he wears his heart on his sleeve, but isn't afraid to take risks. Dark, humorous, great cast, truly a pleasure to watch Gregg's creation come to life.

Terrible ending. Worst ending ever. Thought maybe it would end up as a comedy romance but ended in comedy murder.
