This movie get's off to a slow start after a misleadingly exiting opening scene, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars, not five. Other than that, the movie is pretty good, the emotional scenes are well done, the monster action is okay, and the charachters were pretty good too. I guess I just have high modern standards, and there are better movies out there, but not too many. I woudn't reccomend watching this on a phone, though. Also, in response to Amber Cook, stop enforcing your love of Zilla...

Where to start? This film is THE best of the Godzilla films, and understandably so. It is the original and made for a strong anti-nuclear statement. If you must see the original, make it this version. Do NOT watch the 1956 dubbed edit with Raymond Burr. They ruined the film when they did that.
