About this movie

An all-new, unrated chapter in the Battlestar Galactica saga, Blood & Chrome takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, The Borgias), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Though Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz), the two men must set their differences aside when a routine escort mission with an enigmatic passenger (Lili Bordán, Silent Witness) turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.

Dont ya just hate it when movies dont follow what is already set down as being "cannon" ? The original BattleStar Galactica plainly and in no uncertain terms states that the Cylon's were created by a race of reptiles that realized that the "human" form was superior, so, they created the Cylon's ....NOT humans. So, from the get go they have it all wrong and you go in under a false premise. Not to mention that the acting isnt great, and the story line is rather flat. It wasnt awful, but it certainly wasnt great. Would I recommend it...no, probably not...no.

Such a deception compared to the previous TV Show. I left an amazing true drama serie for an umpteenth action movie without any suspense. Actors doesn't sound real except the copilot, and most of dialogs are as predictable as the action. On the filming side, the shaky style doesn't succeed to give the movie the tension that it should have. I didn't like the filter on the images either, it does't add anything to the story or the ambiance, except a noisy wake up effect. In short, not worth your time.

Solid sci-fi action movie. The two main pilots, one a rookie and one a veteran, have good chemistry and made this totally entertaining for me. The other characters, mostly minor, all come across interesting and relatable. I believe this entire production is shot on a green screen, on soundstages and the computer special fx sometimes dazzle. One other thing, I never watched the series before and that didn't take away from me understanding and enjoying this film, which is a stand alone story👍
