About this movie

Sam Bell is nearing the completion of his 3-year-long contract with Lunar Industries, mining Earth's primary source of energy on the dark side of the moon. Alone with only the base's vigilant computer Gerty as his sole companion, Bell's extended isolation has taken its toll. He longs to return home, but a terrible accident on the lunar surface leads to a disturbing discovery that contributes to his growing sense of paranoia and dislocation so many miles away from home. Often overlooked and underrated, Moon proves that sci-fi doesn't have to be about space battles, explosions, sequels and reboots. Sam Rockwell (The Green Mile, Galaxy Quest, Iron Man 2) shines as the sole protagonist in a film that's paced perfectly for its 97 minutes run time. Featuring the voice of a pre-"me too" Kevin Spacey this is definitely one to add to your watch list.

I bought this movie based on the previous reviews not knowing the actor Sam Rockwell but recognised him straight away from 'The Green Mile'. I was blown away by his powerful performance in that movie and now in this too. Not a high octane shootemup but really well thought out, provoking story that had me hooked to the end. Thoroughly enjoyable. Maybe we are all really in the 'matrix' !!

A one-man tour de force from Sam Rockwell (although the virtual presence of Kevin Spacey brings a layer of menace and at the same time ironic humanity). Beautifully constructed on so many levels. Visually, textually and dramatically brilliant. Moody and disturbing - don't watch it alone!
