This is the second film in as many weeks that without question deserves academy nominations, in multiple categories, including BEST PICTURE (though again sadly i fear it shall not be so) nevertheless WATCH THIS! its not just a simple biography and if you'll see Mr Boseman in a best actor role.. Who'd of thought it, knowing only the snidbits of his latter years that JAMES BROWN at least deserves a second look! Anyway you slice it, brilliant film!

Story-Line is slow and the acting is mediocre at best. Should have been a big budget film with top-tier actors. Jamie Foxx would've killed this but he already did the Ray Charles biopic.

I'm a big James Brown fan and really digged the film. I felt it was a very honest betrayal of a man who came from nothing and obtained greatness. And I really liked how it did not show him as this perfect nice guy but as a man with some hang ups but his talent shined. He was a great American original right up there with Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix.
