Michael Aldrich
This movie bills itself as being a faithful representation of Biblical archaeology and zoology, but they take a very revisionist/symbolic view of the Bible. As a former theology major drawing on what I learned over my 2 years in the seminary, they take a lot of theological license, making significant assumptions and a lot of their claims are purely conjecture. In some cases it seems they just make stuff up. I don't claim to know all the facts of theology, but this documentary doesn't give ANY evidence to back up ". I sat there waiting for some sort of reference for that comment, and they made no effort to provide citations. Again, if they want to do that, it is fine, but this is not the way it is advertised. Beyond that, the story doesn't flow very well and they try to be unique in their videography, but it just comes off a bit awkward... They dismiss a lot of what the Bible describes in miraculous ways as being nothing more than mistranslations or misunderstandings of the Bible, and it seems like in other areas they overdramatize as an excuse to add computer generated action scenes. This movie is for you if you aren't interested in what the Bible actually teaches.
