I was frankly, so surprised by Guardians of the Galaxy that I was totally blown away. Think of it, you're me in 2012 hearing about this movie and wondering how they can even pull this off considering before 2014 the Guardians were all but unknown except to those who regularly kept up with the comic books. This movie is simply a lot of fun. It's not just that though otherwise it'd be pretty shallow. It has characters we come to love and respect and throughout this film they all undergo transformations. Basically, these guys all go from being outlaws to heroes in the scope of around 2 hours. You know you've truly succeeded in your mastery as a filmmaker when you've made your audience feel genuine emotion for a talking tree, a talking racoon, and all their colorful and amazing friends. This movie proved that you can tell a seriously dramatic tale while still being silly at times and having fun with the material. Oh yeah and it probably doesn't hurt that the leading character Star Lord and his awesome mix volume 1 are equals in their awesomeness.

Is it just me, or does HellyWood repeatedly shove the same Racially-biased sexual scenarios at us. Caucasian male and Minority Female become sexually intimate (to one degree or another). It's really stale, Hollywood. Seriously. Change things up a bit. Have a backbone. You know how it works. If you shove anything at people often enough, they WILL buy into it. Have some balls, Disney. You obviously do, when it comes to snapping up any and every successful franchise in existence. 😕

I rented this movie a few days ago and it is actually very good. The storyline, acting and action are fairly decent. The racoon character is the best:-).. Parental Warning: This is definately not a movie for younger aundiences age 11 and under. There is some language, some creepy characters but there are also some intense scenes that may scare younger kids. If you want to watch a light-hearted sci-fi flick then check it out
