About this movie

Based on a best-selling autobiography, this comedy drama is the surprisingly sweet-natured life story of a controversial radio personality. Howard Stern, who stars as himself, is a nerdy New York kid who dreams of a disc jockey career despite being a self-loathing klutz who lacks a traditional broadcaster's voice. A strikeout artist in college, Stern's romantic travails end when he meets and marries Alison (Mary McCormack), a beautiful social worker. Stern's early career at several radio stations is undistinguished. Bored, he makes his life the centerpiece of his show, including his obsessions with sex and bathroom humor, and he finds willing cohorts in news reporter Robin Quivers and producer Fred Norris. After an abortive tenure at a Washington D.C. station that loathes his high-rated antics, he lands at NBC in New York. Again, Stern clashes regularly with executives, especially Kenny "Pig Vomit" Rushton (Paul Giamatti), who runs roughshod over Stern's team. At home, Stern's tendency to discuss the intimate details of his marriage takes a toll, reaching a meltdown when he jokes about Alison's recent miscarriage on-air.

This was done really well. I would be interested to see a part 2 where Howard gets fired from NBC moves to K-Rock and gets his show syndicated all over the United States. LA funeral, Cleveland funeral and so on.. Then ending only after he leaves terrestrial radio for Sirius XM Satellite Radio! This guy did for radio what Jimi Hendrix did for guitar!

I found this movie very informative! I'm glad I finally got 2 see it! I Love A Good Origins story. I ain’t know Howard Stern was in DC. I heard of Elliott in the Morning when he made that off remark on #MLK! I thought @Albiedee was the wildest jock in DC. We met before at #TheAwakening statue when it was still in #PotomacPark & I was with My #babymama & just coming home 2 Dj!~ Haha, My Mother worked for the #FCC!~ Yeah I guess it got that serious that Howard took his show 2 SiriusXM & Angela Yee

One of my favorites, wish it was about 20 minutes longer. I know it had to come to an end but, it seemed as though it rushed a 'perhaps' happily ever after ending... Other than that, love Howard Stern and the movie remains accurate and Howard does not steer away from his radio personality what so ever. One of my favorites! W eeennNNN B C!
