By far the worst movie in the Die Hard franchise, and awful by any standard. Glib, charming John McClane is gone; instead we get a bitter old a-hole who ruins his far more capable son's promising career, and then goes around murdering half of Russia for the flimsiest of reasons. Part of what made the first Die Hards so good was that McClane was a mortal regular guy; he did crazy things because he had to, and he got hurt and injured as a result. Now he just literally jumps off high-rise buildings with no consequence. This movie is garbage, and a complete waste of your time and money. Jai Courtney was alright, though.

Utter garbage. The entire pretence of the movie is flawed at a fundamental level.really enjoyed the others but had to force myself not to hit the delete button after 20 minutes. Even the acting from bruce himself is lacklustre and appears almost embarrased to be playing the role. Dont watch if you enjoyed the earlier movies. This will leave a very bad taste indeed. AVOID.

Worst movie in the series. Didn't feel like John McClaine, and was just a bunch of talking heads. Stunts I've seen before, John was an emotional wuss for most of the movie; it really didn't feel like his character at all, and they gave some random crappy spinoff action hero his taglines. The previous Die Hard was incredibly better, and if this movie doesn't kill the franchise then they should bring back those people.
