About this movie

Starring Eddie Redmayne ("Les Misérables") and Felicity Jones ("The Amazing Spider-Man 2"), this is the extraordinary story of one of the world's greatest living minds, the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, who falls deeply in love with fellow Cambridge student Jane Wilde. Once a healthy, active young man, Hawking received an earth-shattering diagnosis at 21 years of age. With Jane fighting tirelessly by his side, Stephen embarks on his most ambitious scientific work, studying the very thing he now has precious little of - time. Together, they defy impossible odds, breaking new ground in medicine and science, and achieving more than they could ever have dreamed. The film is based on the memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen, by Jane Hawking, and is directed by Academy Award winner James Marsh ("Man on Wire"). Something unfortunate happens to terribly smart terribly middle class people. They handle it in a terribly dignified terribly middle class way. Eddie's acting is superb but this film is the most biege piece of cinema ever (literally, the cinematographic pallet hardly deviates from it).

Amazing performances from both leads...we see and feel his struggles and amazing accomplishments and get a taste of what ithe world and indeed the universe would like like through his eyes...but I also have to say what an amazing woman Jane was...the sacrifices she made out of her love for him...truly amazing woman...watch this movie...10/10

This was a film very close to my heart as my dad had MND, I thought it was amazing, probably the best film I've seen in a while, this man is so inspirational, just for the way he dealt with this dreadful disease....amazing brilliant and fantastic.
