About this movie

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than himself. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

After these two years, I realize why critics gave it a 53% rating. In 2014, I didn't get why they gave it such a bad rating, and I actually really liked the film. However, after seeing it again, I realize why people give it hate, the execution of the villains and the plot was rushed, and Rhino had potential which they wasted and he was in there for two minutes. Spider Man 3's villains had a reason to team up against Spidey, Hob-Goblin and Electro did not! The plot is rushed too, what a waste.

While the first of the new movies was average this takes the averageness and becomes more average. Peter Parker is more of a stalker than in the previous movie, there's a lot of missed opportunities (such as the introduction to Black Cat rather than a brief name drop of her real name), as well as the execution of Electro and the plot. This can easily be compared to Spider-Man 3, which is significantly better as it gave the characters reasons to team up against Spider-Man. This movie sucks in comparison.

The spiderman franchise with toby maguire were a grat hit. Andrew garfield took to the spot in 2012 with the surprise of choice of villian the Lizard. It had a steady story and good action. This one has kind lost track because harry osborn failed completely because he is the hob goblin not green. Rhino was metal he was only in it for 2 mins. And electro was ok just weak story. And poor ending for emma stone/gwen stacey.
