About this movie

On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (Cosio). Using his associates in the organization, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.

While not as revolutionary as Casino Royale nor as slick as Brosnan's outings as the character, this Bond film solidly finishes the story started with Daniel Craig becoming the iconic spy. The story is certainly messier (so is lots of the camera work) but it is a great follow-up and good Bond movie. The opening chase is probably one of the best I've seen put to film (take _that_ Ronin!).

Watch November Man &you'll see an actor of style and grace with the chops to pull off any role. The switch to Craig was the worst move in Bond history even worse than Lazenby. Craig never was &never will be Bond &the franchise lost at least 2 more grt films with Brosnan when they switched to Craig too early. 20 Bond films that Cubby cast &then Barb blows it TOTALLY! Nuff Said

I'll never understand how people call this movie the worst Bond film ever made. True, it is at best a Bourne movie and at worst utterly forgettable but compared to past entries in the series history (Die Another Day, Octopussy, Diamonds are Forever) Quantum really isn't all that horrible. If Quantum had proceeded Casino, people would probably have praised it. So give it a shot. Pardon the pun.
