About this movie

Keanu Reeves (The Matrix) and Alex Winter (The Lost Boys) deliver "spirited performances" (The Hollywood Reporter) in the original righteous comedy about the two ditzy dudes from San Dimas, California. Also starring George Carlin, this hysterically funny historical comedy is a "snappily directed" (Time), "bouncy good time" (The Boston Globe) and a party that goes on and on! Bill (Winter) and Ted (Reeves) have spent so much time forming their rock band, The Wyld Stallyns, that they're flunking history. Whoa, duuuude! And when Ted's dad threatens to send him away to military school, Bill and Ted realize it could mean the most heinous end of The Stallyns! Luckily, a guardian angel from the future, Rufus (Carlin), has come to them with a most bodacious solution: a time-traversing phone booth to take them into the past to learn about the world from some of history's most influential personalities. Their journey through time turns out to be a blastÄ…but will they learn enough to pass their class?

An all time classic 80's comedy worth every minute. The cast and premise make this movie a must own. I've watched this movie so many times on VHS growing up bringing back great memories of my youth. Alex Winter does a most excellent job as Bill and a young Keanu Reeves as Ted shows the promise of what's become a very good career in Hollywood. George Carlin as Rufus is witty as always. Buy buy buy you won't regret it!

This movie has to be my favorite Keanu Reeves movie, if for no other reason than this is where I fell in love with Keanu. Saw this in the theater when it came out (yes, that dates me a bit) and it's so good on a bigger screen. The soundtrack is "excellent" (excuse the pun) and you can't help but love the Late George Carlin as their wise-cracking time-traveling mentor. With cameos by several smaller actors and musicians, Bill and Ted's excellent adventure was way better than any of the sequels. Definitely full of one-liners that make you laugh and become inside jokes for you and others who've seen the film. Fairly kid appropriate, depending on what you let your kids watch. Great "stoner movie."

The quintessential 80s comedy. This movie is perfect from beginning to end, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter deliver an unforgettably hilarious adventure that is authentic in every way. Party on, dudes! (Check out Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go's as a fiesty and unfortunately silent Joan of Arc!)
