Long ass movie to sit through (I can't feel my butt, man,) but yeah, that was majestical. Felt like I was watching some version of America's shame when the white man committed genocide against the native Americans, so it has a Dances With Wolves feel. Also, visually spectacular - must've been quite the scene on the big screen. And it made me cry, which is always a good thing. I'm about 8 years late in seeing it; not sure I'd want to own it but certainly glad to have rented it.

Great effects, but that's no achievement these days. My problem was the eco/racial patronisation that ran the show. I didn't care about the characters and the baddies were stereotypical to the point of pantomime. See it, if only to say you've seen it.

I disagree that it's an `awful, awful, awful` film. It's a fantasy movie so the story line is something you either go with or not, if you don't accept it then you can never work out what the film's trying to say. Yes there are a lot of special effects, but I think the movie has more to it than just that. This sounds a bit innocent and simple of me, but I do think this film has something to say... It's not a classic but I wasn't disappointed, it was actually better than I expected it to be. I think it's OK..
