The sandman is the only thing in this film. You might as well burn every other frame that doesn't involve him. Venom was handled like radioactive infant, packed into a cannon and shot at us with damp gunpowder. This film is the worst of Raimi's three, and it's because Raimi/writers mishandled Venom. The execution is disheartening. Someday a film will be made that does justice to the character, and it will be an explosive success.

After the amazing sequel that was Spider-Man 2 Sony stepped on stage and took a giant dump and then ran away with our money. I think I wouldn't have been as dissapointed if it wasn't because I was so in love with 1 and 2. I get the feeling that Sony executives are to blame for pushing revisions to the script which is why the plot takes so many strange turns and the villains are so out of place. A massive dissapointment.

If your going to buy any of the Spider-man films, buy the first 2. This movie is a straight up mess! You can tell that Raimi was getting pressured by the studio to rush the production. Need further proof? Just look at the hack job they did on one of Spider-man's major villains Venom. Venom is my favorite comic book character and they ruined it with this trash! The bar was set so high with the second movie and they could have totally used Venom as way to be the best of the 3, but alas its not meant to be.
