One of my favorite movies. Couldn't of picked a better actor than Anthony Hopkins to play in this leading role. He reminds me of how my Dad would handle a situation like that, if he were in that predicament. Calm, Cool , & Collect. Well done. A movie I never tire of watching. I love when Bart the bear turns his bottom lip down, growling at them & scrapping his big paw acrossed the ground, it doesn't get much more scarry than that! And also love it when he's asked, what are we going to do "Charles?", And his reply is, Were going to kill the MFer! And tells his buddy; Bob, to say it with him. What one man can do , the other man can do!" I give this movie an All thumbs up! Wish they 'd make another one like it.

The bear is relentless. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. You have three city guys trying to survive the wilderness, the only tools they have is there brains and a single pocket knife!

Classic, the greatest message at the very end is even though the wilderness is dangerous it is not as bad as the coldness of society and the dangers of bad people. You can see Anthony Hopkins holding back a tear while lying to the media in order to undeservingly honor the dead as having "died trying to save his life" while in reality they did not.
