So an Iguana in the pacific mutates into a 60 meter tall t-rex like creature and travels to New York too lays it's eggs that hatch into the raptors from Jurassic Park. Oh and Ferris bueller, Moe szyslak and Leon the professional try to kill it. Ok let's compare shall we, So we went from People crying and dying from radiation poisoning in the 1954 original film to A crappy love story, Immature jokes towards Siskel and Ebert, Oh and "That's alot of fish". GAH!

Honestly, this isn't even a bad movie. The monster design honestly looks cool, alot of the action setpieces are exciting and overall it's just fun. The problem is that it's a horrendous insult to Godzilla in every way. If you just enjoy silly action movies with a big monster on it, definitely check this one out. Make sure you try to forget the fact that they're trying to go for the Godzilla brand in this entire experience.

This movie seems to be hated by critics, nerds and hardcore Godzilla fans alike. Me, I was just a kid when it came out but from what I've seen again when it shows on TV, it's really not as bad as people are making it out to be. It's a family friendly release with barely any violence, and sits well beside other wacky big-budget adventure films of the time like The Mummy and Men in Black. If you want a violent, super serious Godzilla movie, skip this one and watch the 'reboot'.
