About this movie

In this critically lauded adaptation of the incredibly popular graphic novel, Batman learns that he has a son, the result of a night of passion with the Daughter of the Demon. He takes the boy under his wing, hoping to change him from the assassin he was being groomed to be. But Damian Wayne idolizes his grandfather, Ra's Al Ghul, and has been trained his entire young life by the League of Assassins, making him as deadly as he is brilliant. After Ra's was betrayed and his compound attacked, Damian was brought to Gotham City to be protected by his father until those responsible for the assault can be brought to justice.

I like how it shares continuity with Justice League War. Jason O'Mara is a great actor. His Batman voice is great but his Bruce Wayne voice needs improvement. Maybe a higher pitch or make the Batman voice a little more deeper. Damian character could've been worked on a bit more. I enjoyed Nightwing's cameo. The father-son moments were well planned. I questioned whether this is before or after Justice League there was no mention at all of them or the event that followed.

It could have been better, but I thought it was decent, though it doesn't make much of a fan base for Damian still. He's a fan un-favorite still, but all around a decent watch. I was kind of intrigued by it, but it could have had a little more depth. Though, on another basis, it's not exactly child appropriate as for the non-innuendo sexual talk, I can't say I'd let my fourteen year old watch parts of it despite the PG-13 rating by critics. Just because it's animated doesn't mean it's appropriate for children and it forgets to mention excess gore and violence. Come on critics, do your job.

This is the first animated DC comics movie that made me angry for spending time on it. This movie isn't even worth 5 minutes. Taking liberty with character story lines to adapt them to a different medium is par for the course. This was a step away from a College Humor interpretation of Batman...a Joke. Yes, maybe my knowledge of the Batman universe might make this appear even worse than a typical movie watcher, but I don't see anything notably good about this movie. The art work wasn't even special. Anyways, I hope the group behind this figures out why this turned out so appalling and avoid those choices in the future.
