I think this movie was made just so Mark Wahlberg could finish buying his new house. Like Adam Sandler does for free vacations. Wahlberg and Ferell had decent chemistry in The Other Guys and it worked. They tried it here and just lost it. Had no flow or chemistry. All the characters and scenes were just unnatural and choppy. And I'm feeling like Seth MacFarlane got to inject some of his garbage comedy into this movie. Movie was done for a paycheck and nothing more.

This movie is kind of like watching "Grown ups" where you know the things that happen in it would never happen in real life, but it is not funny enough to justify that type of humor. In fact it wasn't very funny at all. The movie is pretty much just about an entire family being mean and cruel to a guy who is just trying his best to be a step dad. Not to mention there is no real character development. It feels like you're watching a bad SNL skit the entire time. Waste of $5.
