About this app

Shooter is a highly accurate ballistics calculator with a clean, intuitive and polished user interface that places itself far ahead of the competition. Shooter has been used repeatedly to put shooters in top positions at shooting competitions and by police snipers across the globe.

Most recently, Robert Brantley won the 2018 King of 2 Mile match using Shooter. Here is what Robert had to say about Shooter:

"I have used Shooter for many years and it has always worked well. I use it not only to get solutions but to compare different load or component ideas. It's a simple yet accurate solver. I recommend it to all shooters getting into LR shooting as it will help you learn the things you need to know for accurate solutions but has advanced features if they are needed as you grow. I use it mostly for PRS/hunting situations but have had great success with it at extreme long ranges as well. It's a great resource to have on and off the range and is simple to use on the clock. If it didn't work I wouldn't rely on it much less have it on 4 devices. I have quite a few high end solvers and devices and Shooter has alway worked just as well. Looking back this is really all I need. I used Shooter almost exclusively at the King of 2 Mile match and it was dead on. I love this product and rely on it heavily."

This is a good starter app. However, it does have some shortcomings. First off, the bullet library is stale. Many newer bullets are not in the library plus many makers of mono projos are missing as well. Also the app does not appear to be developed anymore. The last update is more than a year old. But its accurate out to 1000-1200 yards.

Have used this program for at least 5 years. Other than a notebook and pencil, it is one of the most useful tools available. You do have to tinker with it, and use other tools available you have though to understand how your rounds perform. I'm not worried about new bullets being produced, or needing a separate chronograph to purchase (haven't touched mine in years once I figured that out). Besides a notebook, pencil, and rangefinder, this is another tool I suggest other shooters to get.

I bought this app in 2019 and installed. Quite simply, I loved it. But I bought a new phone and all my saved info on 2 custom rifles (out to 850 yrds) and everything didn't download onto the new phone. Before wiping my old phone I checked to see if the info was on the Note 20.....NADA. NOT THERE AND NOT HAPPY. All that time, data, shooting through a chrono, logging data on 2 rifles - gone.
