Season 17 episodes (13)

1 Money Hungry
1/4/16
"The Biggest Loser," known for its incredible weight loss makeovers, will reveal an exciting makeover of its own when the popular series returns this season with new host Bob Harper, a new "Temptation" theme, an updated state-of-the-art gym, a new logo, fun format changes and a return to the popular team vs. team competition. Dolvett Quince and Jen Widerstrom return to train eight contestant teams of two, all with compelling stories. Seven teams (spouses, parent/adult child, siblings, relatives, best friends) will know each other, but one team will be two strangers - former "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant and the original "Survivor" winner, Richard Hatch, and "The Voice" season two semi-finalist Erin Willett.
2 Taste Test
1/11/16
This week the contestants must face their biggest temptation of all - food. Host Bob Harper meets them at a food court where they must rely on their newfound nutrition knowledge to win a trivia challenge about unhealthy food. The winning team gets to choose a player from the opposing team to sit out at the weigh in. Then the contestants meet Dr. Huizenga at a medical research facility for a sobering look at how the food choices people make can mean the difference between life and death.
3 Keep On Truckin'
1/11/16
Host Bob Harper greets contestants with the news that their challenge this week involves pulling food trucks. The team that wins gets a crash course in healthy cooking and eating from popular chef Lorena Garcia, while the losing team has to eat from the food trucks - a challenging task requiring them to resist temptation and choose wisely from the limited healthy food choices. Also this week, one trainer works to create better bonding and trust with their team while Bob surprises the contestants with a chance to win a weigh-in advantage before they step on the scale.
4 Hooked on 'Tronics
1/18/16
This week, contestants must confront a temptation that people face every day - digital distractions. Dolvett's red team and Jen's black team navigate an obstacle course filled with digital distractions during a challenge that brings the winning team a very difficult choice. They can either reconnect with the real world and enjoy coveted video chats with their loved ones back home, or get exclusive use of the gym for an entire week.
5 The Big Switch
1/18/16
This week the teams are mixed and the contestants are forced to create new bonds. The new teams compete in a physical and mental challenge and the winning team gets a three-pound advantage at the weigh in. Trainers Jen Widerstrom and Dolvett Quince are shocked to discover their new teams during the first workout of the week, but they cut no corners in pushing their contestants. Host Bob Harper meets the contestants and trainers in the gym for a last-chance challenge that proves to be one of the most difficult yet.
6 Ready? Set. Auction!
1/25/16
Host Bob Harper hosts an auction to win some flashy and functional prizes. One lucky contestant gets a one-on-one workout with Harper himself. Coaches Jen Widerstrom and Dolvett Quince are challenged during the workouts as some of their teammates are out enjoying the luxuries they won during the temptation challenge. During the last chance challenge the teams battle out a difficult physical activity to win the one-pound advantage for the weigh in.
7 Ship Shape
1/25/16
The contestants have another luxury to tempt them and keep them away from their workouts. The challenge gives one team the choice of relaxing on a yacht for an entire day reading letters from loved ones or getting exclusive access to the gym. Although they all need a day of pampering the extra time in the gym could give them an edge during weigh in.
8 Homeward Bound
2/1/16
The winner of the opening challenge chooses a contestant from Team Jen and Team Dolvett to go home for the week. The only weights that matter in the final weigh-in are those of the contestants sent home, surrounded by old habits and temptations. Host Bob Harper makes a surprise visit to give a killer workout while the other trainers push their teams to the limit back on the ranch.
9 Real World Problems
2/1/16
This week the competition moves to singles. After nine weeks facing all types of temptations, the players face their biggest test yet: spending the entire week away from the ranch, eating, training and learning how to live their lives in the real world. Every day will bring a new menu of choices - some healthy and some not - for how they'll spend their time, so they have to rely on everything they've learned at the ranch to make smart decisions. Also, the winner of this week's grueling obstacle-course challenge wins the best prize of all at the weigh-in.
10 Makeover Week
2/8/16
It's one of the most eagerly anticipated events of 'The Biggest Loser' season - the fan-favorite makeover episode! Fashion expert Tim Gunn and celebrity hair stylist Ken Paves return to create amazing and inspirational transformations with the remaining seven contestants. And though they still have to stick to their weight-loss routines, there will be no temptation this week. After getting a brand new look from head to toe, the players get to show off their new slimmer selves to loved ones flown in to celebrate their big day. Later, they learn they're competing in a Last Chance Challenge with one of their loved ones for an advantage at this week's weigh in.
11 I Got the Power
2/15/16
With only two weeks left on the ranch, Bob welcomes the contestants at a challenge that will tempt the winner with a prize that could change the course of the entire competition. Not only will they win a one-pound advantage for themselves, they'll gain the ultimate power in the game with the ability to give a one-pound disadvantage to one of their remaining opponents.
12 The Final Cut
2/15/16
The five remaining players gather for their final challenge, a time-honored tradition of contestants putting back on all the weight they've lost over the course of the season and then shedding it one last time at different stages. The winner receives a coveted prize that could secure their spot as a finalist as the competition goes from five players to three, before next week's live finale when the Biggest Loser and winner of the $250,000 prize will be chosen.
13 Live Finale
2/22/16
In this must-see live finale, the 16 contestants from this season return for a special reunion and a chance to weigh in one last time and show America how much weight they've lost since beginning their weight-loss journeys. Those who have been eliminated will compete for the $100,000 "at home" prize. Then it's the moment viewers have been waiting for, when one of the three finalists will be named this season's "Biggest Loser" and win the coveted grand prize of $250,000.

About this show

Unlike other "make-over" type shows, "The Biggest Loser" will focus on exercising the right way, losing weight naturally, and promote positive and healthy living. After years of failed diets and unsuccessful exercising, twelve overweight people will begin a journey together in hopes of reaching their goal of weight loss, getting in shape, and being healthy. Throughout eight episodes, this cast of diverse and dynamic individuals will get the chance to compete for prizes, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and most importantly, the opportunity to be self-confident about their accomplishments and physical appearance.

I used to watch this all the time before it was cancelled. I have to say that The Biggest Loser takes problems people face commonly and inspire millions watching the show to change similarly to the way the contestants do. Not only does this show yield a game-show perspective, but it taps into your emotional reservations and makes the show personal. That surely isn't an easy task.

Let's be honest, Jillian and Bob got famous because of biggest loser. They have tried with many different trainers, but truth is, Jillian needs biggest loser just as much as biggest loser needs her. After a few failed attempts on TV, it's nice to see her back where she belongs
