This show hits home in a number of episodes. A total reflection of first world problems including, Neglectful parents, failing school systems, jaded friendships, and lampoons pop culture to perfection. If you weren't poor or a latch key kid growing up then you definitely won't get what the show is about. Not for the snooty, whitebred-whitewash zealots types.

First, what everyone needs to know is that Clarence isn't retarded. He's just your average not-so-bright kid, with a heart of gold. As for those nostalgia fanboys and fangirls, get over it. Back in the 1980s, there also weren't any iPads. Things are changing, people.accept that reality won't always be in the 1980s. Anyway, this show is great and uses completely relatable school situations for comedy.

A cute show about ordinary kids who get into ordinary shenanigans in funny and heartwarming ways. It's about those insights you'd get from hanging out with the kids on your block. Nothing significant happens and no one made history by playing in the street, but it's still good to acknowledge those mundane experiences and enjoy them. They're still valid. This isn't Steven Universe and it doesn't aspire to be. I appreciate both shows for their different approaches and narratives.
