To Ellie and Hardy, and the rest of Broadchurch CID, it becomes clear very quickly that the location of the attack and all the surrounding circumstances are going to make this an incredibly difficult investigation. All of them were in the area when the attack took place. Ellie and Hardy need Trish to give her main video interview, which will be relied on in court if the case goes that far, but she is still in trauma. They need to move the investigation forward quickly as there is a predator on the loose. Trish’s ISVA tells Hardy and Ellie that she doesn’t think Trish is ready, but Hardy decides they should go ahead. About this show

Broadchurch is an 8-part drama series which looks at how the murder of a boy - Danny Latimer - affects a small, market town in Dorset. It will explore what happens to this small community when it suddenly becomes the focus of a major event and is subjected to the full glare of the media spotlight. The main focus of the drama is the investigation into Danny's death lead by DI Hardy [David Tennant] and DS Ellie Miller [Oliva Colman], but other strands explored in the drama include the impact on Danny's immediate family, and how they cope and move on; the wider community in the town, and how they deal with the tragedy; the role of the church in such circumstances, and how people affected by the crime can look to faith; and also the role of the media - local and national - and how people deal with the kind of scrutiny a crime like this brings. From the immediate family, and then radiating out, one by one the community of Broadchurch are drawn into the police enquiry, Local hoteliers and business people are implicated as the effects of a death in the community begins to impact on their hard-earned livelihoods. But can the town survive such a seismic shock during its economically crucial summer months? As the case drags on, the whole town will come under pressure: personal, economic, professional and emotional.

So far ive only seen season #1, so thats why its a 4/5 (Will update after season 2). This is one of the few series to get me emotionaly bonded, the only other series to do that is Lost. I loved the twist on the murderer, and all in all it a great series.

A little too slow at first, somwhat predictable who real culprit was but otherwise a very awesome first season...season 2 sucked...season 1 4 stars, season 2 = -3 stars for a net of 1 star...holy crap season 2 is really bad. Why was it even made? If i could give the entire thing 0 stars, i would.

WOW! I really think that Broadchurch is the absolute best series that I have seen. So well acted, the story lines are addictive, so much so that you just have to keep watching another episode, then another. If you have never watched it, you must, all 3 seasons, as a story runs through them all . I loved it and wished it didn't end. The story line iof Mark Latimer bought me to tears. Well acted. In fact, well acted by every single actor, especially of course David Tennant and Olivia Coleman.
