In the eleventh season premiere, The Gallaghers adjust to life in the pandemic: Frank fears the loss of the Southside to gentrification, while bar pandemic closures force Kev and V to get creative at the Alibi. Sleep deprived Lip and Tami (series regular KATE MINER) work to make their new house a home as Carl finishes the police academy. Debbie becomes her own boss and deals with the repercussions of her statutory rape conviction of 17-year-old Julia. Ian and Mickey’s honeymoon phase is over as they have very different ideas about what married life would be.
2 Go Home, Gentrifier

It’s Franny’s birthday, and with Tami and Sandy’s help, Debbie prepares to throw Franny the best princess party Franny never wanted. Ian on the straight and narrow forces Mickey to get a real job. Frank the weed connoisseur helps Kev and V with their struggling pot business. Lip’s home renovations run him into some trouble with his new neighbors. Carl’s first day on the force is not the Dirty Harry fantasy he thought it would be. Liam (series star CHRISTIAN ISAIAH) profits from kids in lunch debt to a tyrannical lunch lady.

In a rush to get out of the house, Debbie loses track of Franny and has to balance her search for Franny and her handy-woman jobs, but Frank and Franny have a day of weed runs and adventure. Ian and Mickey question who is the “man” in their relationship. A delighted Carl gets a new Training Officer who loves to kick ass. When Brad (recurring guest star SCOTT MICHAEL CAMPBELL) and Cami learn about their newborn baby’s health complications, Lip and Tami step in to help. Kev’s newfound money and lack of modesty prove to be trouble.

The Milkoviches move in next door and wreak havoc, leading Frank, Kev and Liam to plot how to get rid of them. Mickey embarks on a new security gig for Kev and V, and drags Ian along against his will. V and Debbie turn into stage moms when Gemma and Franny compete in the Little Miss Southside beauty pageant. Lip gets a big surprise when he reluctantly agrees to go to brunch with Tami and her old high school music teacher. When Carl’s Training Officer is overly aggressive with people from the neighborhood, Carl is forced to choose between his job and his neighborhood.

Ian and Mickey get creative when the safety of their security gig comes into question. Dynamic duo Frank and Kev make a last-ditch effort to take down the Milkoviches. Meanwhile, V canvases to get Black people to the polls, but realizes that there are barely any Black people left on the Southside. Lip and Tami get surprising news about their house that forces them to look elsewhere. Then, when Debbie takes Franny to a comic book signing for her favorite wrestler, she realizes that she doesn’t know Sandy (recurring guest star ELISE EBERLE) like she thought she did. Lastly, Carl and Leesie’s differing approaches to policing comes to a head.

A surprising twist of fate has left the Milkoviches vulnerable, forcing Ian and Mickey to step in to help. Then, Frank’s day takes some unexpected turns, and Liam deals with inner turmoil after doing a bad thing. Meanwhile, Debbie confronts Sandy on their relationship, while Carl enjoys the spoils of his day off. Elsewhere, Lip and Brad seek revenge on the new BornFree owners all the while Lip is forced to figure out a plan for the future. Lastly, while Kev runs the bar, V acts as class parent at school – but elementary school looks a little different these days.
7 Two at a Biker Bar, One in the Lake

The Gallaghers are divided on the fate of their childhood home. Frank finds himself stranded, but tries to get home to weigh in on the matter. Ian and Mickey embark on a journey to find gay friends upon the realization that they have none. Carl is distressed after his night with Tish (guest star CHELSEA ALDEN), and Debbie and Sandy have another visitor from Sandy’s past. Lip and Brad prepare to sell stolen bikes to interested buyers, meanwhile Kevin is spotted riding a stolen chopper and has to think quickly. With the help of Liam, Veronica signs-in local voters in hopes to pass the rent control bill, but receives some unexpected news.

Frank and Liam compete in a renaming contest of Dennis Hastert Middle when Dennis Hastert is cancelled. Debbie has a day of zero responsibilities, while Ian and Mickey take on all the responsibility for Terry. Veronica is depressed about her mom (guest star VANESSA BELL CALLOWAY) moving so Kevin tries to cheer her up, all while planning a special surprise. Carl is put on Vice Squad which is all fun and games… until it’s not. Lip has a close encounter with the law, which forces Lip and Tami to team up and sends Brad into a spiral.

Frank wants to pull one last heist with the old gang. Debbie struggles with the idea of change and blames Lip. Meanwhile, Lip and Brad find out the new owners of BornFree are part of the mob. Mickey and Ian learn a surprising truth about Terry’s past, and Liam tries to find a new place to live. Veronica reluctantly helps her mom move to Louisville, while Kevin is forced to watch Gemma and Amy and run the Alibi all on his own. Carl is reunited with an old partner when he's put on the eviction unit.

Lip has a million projects going on, and Frank is one of them. Liam is forced to watch Frank, so the two of them embark on a journey to take down Liam’s classmate in an effort to get Liam into STEM school. Carl’s disillusionment with the police force comes to a head. Debbie embraces the next chapter of her life and hunts for a new place. Mickey and Ian toy with the idea of the West Side. Kev meets Veronica in Louisville in a last-ditch effort to convince Carol not to move.
11 The Fickle Lady is Callling It Quits

Kev and V announce their big news. Lip has some promising leads on the sale of the house, forcing Debbie to reevaluate her future and why she has a bad romance picker. Mickey and Ian try to adjust to life on the West Side. Carl is assigned to a less-than-glamorous police unit. And Liam reminds Frank what makes him Frank.
12 Father Frank, Full of Grace

In the series finale, Frank faces his mortality, while Ian and Mickey shop for furniture for their new place. And, as Kev and V look for a buyer for the Alibi, Lip settles for a new job. Lastly, Carl finds his calling in a new role on the police force and Debbie meets someone, thrusting her into a new, dangerous world.

If you grew up in a household of poverty, chaos, filth, parent who inflicted narcissistic abuse and or suffered from chronic bouts of substance abuse and you (one of the older kids) was forced into the role of parent (parentification, which yeah, is yet another form of abuse all on its own), and tasked with 'surviving' on your own while also caring for the well-being of your other siblings, than you will completely relate to the characters in this show. If you know what it is like to have next to no food in the house, how to wash your clothing in the bathtub because the washer broke a year ago (and no one is there to get another one, nor can you, a teenager, afford to buy one), there is no hot water or heat, again, you will be able to relate. If you were raised by loving, emotionally stable, financially responsible parents who actually took care of you - welcome to the f*ing party. You get to learn how we're not all raised the same and why some people absolutely hate their selfish, abusive birth-givers while also having a strange trauma bond with their relatives/abusers. We just want our parents to be just like yours; loving, supportive. Instead, ours aim to financially and emotionally use us for their own gains. And they don't care if the heat is on, the diapers are changed, and if there is food in the house. Some of us start out in life with miserable childhoods and young adulthoods, struggling day in and out, stuck in survival mode (doing everything we can just to stay alive and together), only to have those same siblings and mix of relatives stab you in the back later. This show covers it all in layer upon dysfunctional layer. General abuse and abusive behavior mirroring, hyper-sexualized youth, narcissism, substance abuse, hypervigilance, on-going anxiety, parentification of children, normalization of abuse, etc. You name it, it happens, one shocking, twisted episode at a time. Overall, the show is shocking (to some who haven't lived through some of this), well-done, well-written (mostly), and entertaining in a dark, dysfunctional, not so healthy kind of way. Most of the time, you're just holding out hope one day these kids will grow up to have better lives and try not to mess up too much along the way. Of course, some don't quite land as well as hoped. This is not a light hearted family comedy/drama.

A typical (low income) family in America. Disfunctional all the way they stick together and they actually care about each other. Feona the oldest daughter is the glue the holds them together. She has vowed to take care of her siblings (5 or 6, maybe more). Feona has heart. These kids have no mother and an alcoholic father. If not for Feona they would have been seperated and sent to foster homes and orphanages. A normal life is not possable for Feona. Frank (the father) is always close to dieing and sits on a pitty pot, whining about life and expecting things he has never earned....like respect. Then there Lip, he has all the makings of a college graduate but will have to jump through hoops to get the education he deserves. The obvious hardships for Lip become apparent when he has trouble getting to class on time. There is more to do in a day when your in a large family that is poor, than just get up and go to class. One sibling realizes he is gay and another young girl is struggling with puberty and boys. The youngest is not related......who knows where he came from. I love this show. Very well written. Entertaining.

I have loved every season ive watched. It's funny, but sad only because I know it's a hard reality for to many kids. My upbringing while full of to many funerals and some health issues (asthma), I had a good and easy life with 2 loving and mentally stable parents, who kept food on the table, a roof over our heads in a safe neighborhood, in a small town with some issues. I however was unable despite my best abilities to give my children the same. So I can relate to this show from my children's
