I cannot praise the beautiful painted landscape of characters, plots and twists. Top of the Lake will keep you on the suspense, while witnessing [Robin's] inner strengths and the external forces that will drive her to the edge.

"Top of the Lake" is extremely weird, and I mean that in the best way possible. It is atmospheric, cerebral and haunting. The landscapes...the music...the pacing...all on point. There are climactic revelations which carry you through the plot...every clue and next-step unfolds cleverly and unexpectedly. The acting is magnificent all-around. I cannot wait for season two, which will bring Nicole Kidman into the mix. This is absolutely top-shelf television.

I didn't really like it. I watched till the end, I wanted to know who did it. I felt like I wasted all the time though, aside from the knitting I completed.
