About this show

From Executive Producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights and Parenthood), Bates Motel delves into the sadistic and twisted relationship between serial killer-to-be, Norman Bates, and his mother Norma, played by Vera Famiga. A prelude to the classic horror film Psycho, the series takes a contemporary glimpse into Norman's formative years and reveals how he became one of the most infamous murderers of all time.

A definite must see. This is by far the best and most enjoyable television series I have ever seen. The acting is incredible, the eerie mood at times is awesome. I submitted a previous review on Netflix, having watched seasons 1-3 there, and eagerly bought season 4 on Google. The original 1960 Psycho with Anthony Perkins being my all-time favorite movie, and having enjoyed its sequels also with Anthony Perkins, and then its re-make with Vince Vaughn, I was only too curious to watch Bates Motel to watch Norman's character develop into who he is in "Psycho" and his relationship with the mother that we never see in the movie. I absolutely cannot wait to see season 5.

Bates Motel is an amusing prequel of the life of infamous twisted psycho, Norman Bates, showing his rocky relationship with his mom and influential events before he turns full fledged homicidal. Acting is good, plotlines are intriguing, retro music usage in a contemporary setting is neat, suspense and drama is thick, Norman's charming creep factor and demeanors are established excellently and the tragic events he endures pulls the reason together well why he became a monster. It's a top show. Watch it.

Its getting to be sickening...Norman is becoming insane and Norma has been protecting him ever since the beginning of the show. Now she is becoming insane herself because all the crap she puts her self through. This show is depressing and self focused....i don't like this anymore.
